Childhood Obesity : Effects On Your Child
There are two main effects of childhood obesity - those related to health and emotional pain. Obesity can be harmful to children’s problem twice. Obesity is a condition where excess body fat negatively affects both children’s emotional health and welfare.

Childhood Obesity : Causes Of Childhood Obesity
The simple answer for childhood obesity is for each child when the children who bring a lot more calories than they burned, they gain weight, that is to be overweight and obese. However, children who are affected by social factors, such as that of adults, but have less discretionary power to evaluate and decide to give the value of nutrition and lifestyle choices, even in circumstances where they realize that there is a choice. In addition, children are very influenced by what is seen and taught by the elders, caregivers, siblings, and parents.
Although it will be great if the community make an issue of childhood obesity has a significant tendency to turn around, usually the parents who will have the most influence for good or worse on this issue.
Some of the factors that contribute to childhood obesity are:
1. Genetics: It has to be conceded that no matter what action parents, society, or the children themselves take, the genetic hand that the child was dealt will have a great impact on the outcome of any choices whether good or bad. However, the good news is that many negative genetic factors can be overcome to at least some extent by wise choices, which we will discuss in a few minutes.

Childhood Obesity : Health Risks of Childhood Obesity
Currently, more focused public awareness on childhood obesity and health risks associated with childhood obesity problems. This is certainly not a secret that obesity in children has grown rapidly to become serious problems, and now referred to as a national epidemic. What’s more, today’s children are obese healthy adults tomorrow: the next generation faces many problems with hypertension, Diabetes, cardiovascular disease and other serious medical condition stemming from childhood obesity. Thus, increased awareness and focus on child obesity is a good beginning, and much to be done when it comes to battling childhood obesity.
Overweight children frequently grow up and become adults with significant weight issues. Children suffering from obesity have already developed negative eating habits and poor exercise habits which are carried through into their adulthood. This makes such children more susceptible to a whole host of health risks. One quarter of all American children are struggling with being overweight and are also struggling with issues related to childhood obesity. Many children that develop obesity also develop Diabetes of the type II variety. Formerly an issue that was far more prominent in older people, children are also now developing this form of diabetes, too. Type II Diabetes is also identified as non insulin dependent Diabetes.

Childhood obesity results from a combination of poor nutrition and inactivity. Researchers concluded that schools have a unique opportunity and responsibility to teach and model healthy eating and physical activity to address attitudes and behaviors that contribute to obesity. According to the Institute of Medicine, obesity prevention efforts involve a focus on the energy balance of the complex equation of calories consumed (diet) versus calorie advertisers (physical activity) is influenced by various individual and environmental factors. Therefore, successful prevention efforts must address nutrition, nutrition education, physical education and physical activity.
